A small army of about 30 people helped sort, pack, and load over 6000 pounds of clothes, bags, toys, books, housewares, and other items for Savers.

At the end of April, we took our girls on a drive to Mt. Baldy to play in the snow. It was obviously late in the season and most of the snow in the local mountains had already melted. Since Mt. Baldy was about to close for the season (all the other resorts had already closed), we weren't really sure how much snow we'd find there.

For many of us, our parents, and especially our mothers, are an extension of God’s loving presence and compassion.

We need God's Word and His constant input to keep our hearts right, our eyes on Him, and our perspective in life. As you think about this passage, I want to encourage you to rejoice in all the goodness that is found in God and His blessing.

If our contentment comes from possessions, activities, or other people, these can be altered or removed. They are fleeting and will change. If our contentment, however, comes from our relationship with Christ, there is absolutely nothing that can take that away.
