I think as we get older, we recognize more and more contradictions in life. That things aren't always what they seem. An example of this is thinking that the path of least resistance is always the best because it appears to be the easiest.

You see, every time you and I hear God’s Word but do not put it into practice, we deceive ourselves into thinking that listening is good enough. Does that happen to you? I know sometimes I feel very good when I read or hear a good message from God's Word.

On Thursday, we finished up our last full day of activities. The youth ministry played with water balloons and the children’s ministry went on a scavenger hunt. Despite the hot weather, both groups had a lot of fun outside.

On Tuesday night our water pump stopped working. Naomi House was without any running water. We made multiple trips to the gas station to use their restrooms.

Today was the first official day of hanging out with the kids. This morning we made cookies and tie dyed shirts, it was a lot of fun.

Today, we went to sliderock with the West Covina people. Some boys and girls jumped off rocks and slid down the sluppery rocks. After that we went to an area that was way less crowded and some of us did some cliff jumping.
