NAOMI House Daily Blog - Final Day

Go home day! We had a slower start as many of the youth carried on their tradition of staying up (or trying to stay up) all night. Fortunately most of the end-of-the-week deep cleaning had been completed the night before, so after breakfast, everyone gathered their belongings and headed over to say goodbye to the NH kids. Saying goodbye is always hard after having built relationships over the week, but after a round of high fives, fist bumps, affirmations, and sending everyone thru the bridging tunnel, we drove down the road to the Jack Rabbit trading post for one last round of snacks before getting on the road. Praise God for an uneventful ride home, which included a Flagstaff bus station drop off for 2 of our NorCal members and later our traditional In-n-Out lunch stop.

In Jeremiah 33:3 God says: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

This week we had an opportunity to get a glimpse into the heart and mind of God. We saw Him in the way He orchestrated 3 cars to go up this year so when one of our leaders needed to leave prematurely, our program could progress without interruption. We saw Him in the nightly sky full of stars, each that He knows by name. We saw Him in the blessing of Genevieve leading us thru an exercise of Jesus speaking to each of us and giving us each a special gift. And we saw Him at work in the hearts of the NH children as we led them thru bible lessons and activities.

Our week at Naomi House reminded us that God is Lord over all. And we can partner in His mission of bringing all people to Himself, all for the glory of His name. Praise God for all that He did at Naomi House this week!
