What are you thankful for?

Dear West Covina Christian Church,

Because next week is Thanksgiving, we are challenged to reflect on what we are thankful for.  Scripture indicates that it is especially important to practice gratitude during difficult times (Philippians 4:6-7).  What are you thankful for this year?

Because the coronavirus numbers have spiked again, LA County has altered some of their health guidelines and restrictions.  However, they have not changed their guidelines for “places of worship.”  As of now, we will continue to meet for worship both in our outdoor gathered worship service and through the online live stream.  With these two options, we feel that we are being safe, responsible, and loving our church well.

The Overcomer series was a God-send.  As I said when the series started, the rough outline for the sermon messages was planned long before the pandemic hit.  This gave me confidence that God was behind it and I feel like He spoke to us powerfully many times as we looked at His Word.  For me personally, I have been blessed by the thought of overcoming through Jesus several times in the past few months.  Danielle shares with us one final video devotional about Overcoming:

Have a great rest of your week!
