Hearts on Fire for God

Each morning I wake up and it looks like it snowed outside because of the ash on the ground.  The air quality is terrible.  Please be careful and say a prayer for the firefighters.

As I was meeting with Stephen, our youth director, earlier today, he prayed for the fires in the mountains to be extinguished but for God to light a fire in our hearts for Him.  His prayer was quick, but it caught my attention because it was catchy.  The more that I have thought about it, this is my prayer as well.  May God light a fire in our hearts.  The Old Testament prophet, Jeremiah, said God’s word burned within him.  Jeremiah 20:9 says, “his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones.  I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.
