Godspeed in 2023

As the year winds down, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year! I know "Happy New Year" is cliche to say but what I really mean is may God's presence and blessing be with you in the coming year. As I reflect on the past year, I see that each year is like a journey or trip filled with ups and downs. A journey which starts anew on January 1st and lasts through December 31st which will be filled with joys and struggles, and happiness and hardships along the way. Yet my prayer for you is that through it all, each day of the journey, you would know God's presence with you. God would fill you with His love and peace. And even when you feel distant from Him, which may happen at times, you and I would remember His Word in James 4:8 which says, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."

"Godspeed" is an old term used to express good wishes to a person starting a new journey or venture. Maybe that's what I would say as we begin the new year. Godspeed with His presence and blessing. I look forward to journeying together in the Lord in 2023.
