God Carries Us

For this week's devotional, I simply wanted to share the well-known poem "Footprints" or "Footprints in the Sand" by Mary Stevenson.  I remember reading this poem early in my Christian life (over 40 years ago) thinking what a beautiful picture of how God picks us up and carries us during difficult times.  While I've always believed in its message, there are times more recently that I've truly felt it's been needed.  In times like this, we have no control over the trials, sufferings, and sorrows that seem to come our way, and we just have to trust in the Lord and ask Him to put us on His back and carry us.  If you're feeling like this at all, I hope the poem will encourage you and know that God's got you!
