A little over a month ago, on Friday, June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is a nationwide right.
There have been a lot of mixed opinions. Some are in favor of the decision, others are against it. Even the Supreme Court itself is divided, and the decision passed with a split 5-4 vote. I don’t know how you feel about it. Truthfully, there are parts of this decision that I’m not sure how to think.
Last year our congregation participated in Operation Christmas Child by sending 513 Christmas gift shoeboxes to disadvantaged children around the world. If you are not familiar with Operation Christmas Child, it is a ministry under Samaritan Purse headed by Franklin Graham (Billy Graham’s son).
This past weekend, our youth ministry, The Fountain, hosted an all nighter. Just like it sounds, the many of the youth and leaders stayed up all night playing games, worshiping God, and growing together into a tighter community...
The men of the church will gather for their monthly time of fellowship over breakfast. This Saturday the women will come together for the annual Ladies Tea. And in a few weeks the entire church will gather to spruce up the place for Easter.
Guys, do you ever talk like that to your wife or girl friend? When it comes to communicating love in words most guys come across as the "strong, silent type". Probably, when it comes to words of love, ladies would struggle as much as men. How many of you speak to your man like this?

When I was a boy, Christmas meant going to Grandpa and Grandma’s house on Christmas Eve. We’d arrive just before dinner to a house already full of the wonderful smells of Christmas—turkey and ham, pies in the oven, and the aroma of a tree that they usually cut themselves on the farm. Christmas was a wonderful time to be with the whole extended family.
You may have read in the Missions Ministry’s article that you’ve contributed enough supplies and boxes to reach over 300 children this year. We’re excited to report that our final count was over 500 shoeboxes. In the coming weeks over 500 children around the world will be touched with Jesus’ love thanks to you
Next year an eight member team from West Covina Christian Church will go on a missions trip to northern Brazil. The team will be planning a week-long Vacation Bible School for people who have formed a community around a dump site on the outskirts of a large city.
