Turkey Fun Fact: A group of turkeys is a rafter

This year we have expanded the Thanksgiving Blessing Box project with a goal of helping 40 families. Many of these will go to needy families of Cameron Elementary School just down the block from our church. Last year our congregation donated the food staples, and the Mercy & Justice ministry purchased the turkeys. This year, because of your generous contributions to this ministry, we have the needed funds for purchasing a rafter of turkeys and the accompanying staples to fill the boxes. Praise the Lord!

We can still use your help if you want to volunteer. These are the areas where we have the greatest need: to shop for the staples to fill the boxes, to sort and pack the items in each box, and to deliver boxes to those unable to pick them up.

Help will be needed in early November if you would like to take part. For more information, contact Deacon of Mercy and Justice Anne Smith at (626) 827-0106.

Let’s all join together as we go about the Lord’s work. Thank you again for making this project possible.
