Ladies Eat! Prayer and Fellowship

Once a month, the women of the church gather for a time of prayer and fellowship over a meal. Tomorrow, November 14, the women will meet at Panera Bread in West Covina (1036 West Covina Pkwy). The women meet on the second Wednesday of odd-numbered months at Panera Bread and second Saturday of even-numbered months at Marie Callender’s. For additional information contact Jane Sattari.

Christmas Unwrapped: Christmas at WCCC

Christmas is just around the corner, and you're invited to Christmas Unwrapped, a month-long celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior. Here’s what’s in store:

  • Christmas Caroling – Saturday, December 1 at 5pm
Spread Christmas joy in our community. Every Christmas season, a group from the church visits those in our community’s convalescent homes. After caroling, the group returns to church for a light dinner. Additional information will be available shortly.

  • Lighting of Advent Candles – starting Sunday, December 2
For each of the four Sundays of Advent, during worship service, a family from the church will be lighting the candles of hope, peace, joy, and love.

  • Daily Advent Devotionals – starting Sunday, December 2
On Sunday, November 25, pick up this year's book of daily devotionals and, starting Sunday, December 2, join your church family in daily readings. You will be blessed as you read the different love stories authored by the WCCC family.

  • Christmas Musical – Sunday, December 16 during worship
Our Children's Ministry, along with the adult choir, has been working on a musical celebrating Jesus' birth. Don't miss "All About That Baby" debuting during our December 16 worship service.

  • Christmas Sunday and Christmas Eve services
On Sunday, December 23, join us for our traditional Christmas Sunday worship service starting at 10:30am. Our annual Christmas Eve candlelight service is on Monday, December 24 at 5pm.

Mochitsuki Planning Meeting

A Japanese tradition for the new year is mochitsuki – the pounding and making of sweet and savory rice cakes. Join us the morning of Saturday, December 8 as we partake in this tradition. If you’d like to help out with planning, come to a special meeting this Sunday, November 18 at 12pm in room 2. For more information, see Patty Higa or Clara Furukawa.
