Highlights

Operation Christmas Child at West Covina Christian Church

For the past 25 years, Samaritan’s Purse been collecting shoeboxes filled with gifts and delivering them to children in need around the world. Each box is an opportunity for a boy or girl to experience the love of God tangibly and hear the Gospel.

Next Sunday, stop by the OCC table in the entryway to pick up a plastic or pre-printed cardboard shoebox. We’ll also provide you with a list of ideas for your boxes. Please return all completed shoeboxes by Sunday, November 11.

Orange Family Time — Sunday, October 28

Orange Family Time is back this Sunday, October 28. Join us for a special talk by Reine Ishida and Chinese food for lunch. Orange Family Time is held on the fourth Sunday of each month and is an extension of the virtues taught during the KWP hour. All families are invited! For more information, contact Nao Kawasaki.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month

October is designated as pastor appreciation month. A jar is available in the foyer if you’d like to leave a note of encouragement or thanks, or a monetary gift, for our pastors. A special presentation will be made during the Thanksgiving worship service in November.

Church Workday — Saturday, November 3

We'll need your help on Saturday, November 3 to finish up as we cover those walls, railings, and trim with a new coat of paint. We'll still have projects such as cleaning of the sanctuary's pews and landscaping, so there's a job for everyone. Join us!

Town Hall Meeting — Sunday, November 4

On Sunday, November 4, the church’s leadership is hosting a Town Hall meeting, an opportunity for the congregation to ask questions about the church.

Pastor Kory and Board of Directors Chairman Bob Smith will take questions from the floor, but if you’d like to submit questions ahead of time or anonymously, use a Connection Card or the box at the Pretzel Kiosk. Due to the meeting, there will be no lunch served.

“Journeys” featuring Julie Lowe — Saturday, November 10

Please bring friends and family to a free testimony concert by Julie Lowe, a professional pianist who has performed and competed internationally. She is dedicated to sharing her talents to use classical music to point others to Christ.
